Last Sunday I got back from a 9 day trip to the Holy Land. I was blessed with the opportunity to visit many of the sites that I’ve read about for years in the Bible. The experience was memorable and informative.

Not only did we visit the holy sites but we met with Palestinian and Israeli officials to get their perspectives on the conflict. The one thing I discovered is that it is very complicated and will probably take divine intervention to bring about true peace. While Israel is the land of Abraham, David, and Jesus it is place full of tension today. The Holy Land is holy because the salvation of the world took place on a hill right outside of Jerusalem some 2000 years ago. I’m grateful for the opportunity and look forward to returning to Israel someday. However, it is good to be back home.
