I spent most of my week in Columbia, Missouri interviewing people for ordination in United Methodist church. The interview team (the Board of Ordained Ministry) is made up of elders (like myself) as well as laity from UM churches around the state.

The good news is that there are several dynamic men and women moving forward to take leadership in local congregations. God is awesome in that God continues to call people to serve. The Church will be in good hands for years to come. Our God has been preparing people to continue the work of kingdom building.
