That Time of Year
Apr 29th, 2010 by DR3

For the last several weeks I have had to cut my grass every 4 to five days. In the Spring, with all of the rain, the grass grows rapidly. Sometimes it is rather frustrating to cut the grass and then have to come back in the same week to do it again. For some reason the grass won’t stop growing.

Spring is when God shows out. God’s creation starts to blossom after lying dormant in the winter. The flowers, trees, grass, and insects seem to come alive in the spring. This time of year is an example to us how God gives new life.

Holy Week
Apr 1st, 2010 by DR3

This has been, for the most part, a normal week for me. I’ve gotten up early to get my kids ready for school. I took my daugter to gymnastics on Monday.  I had to take my vehecile to the dealership for some repair work. In addition to all of that I have been performing my normal pastoral duties as well.

I’ve discovered that the world does not slow down just becasue it is Holy Week. While the world may not slow down we ought to make sure we set aside extra time to be with the Lord this week. This is not a Holiday but a Holy Week and we ought to treat everyday of this week like it’s holy.  Monday through Saturday is the time we get ourselves in the proper attitude to be a part of the world’s largest and greatest celebration-Easter!

Have a blessed Holy Week and Holy Ghost filled Easter!
